About the Role
As an Assistant Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of clients across taxation, compliance and advisory while helping mentor and support junior staff.
You will be technically confident, commercially aware and comfortable building trusted relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Review financial statements and income tax returns
- Business advisory and client relationship management
- Tax planning, compliance and technical problem-solving
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Working directly with business owners and decision-makers
- Managing more complex SME and private group structures
- Contributing to workflow management and high-quality client delivery
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
✔ Australian Public Practice Accounting experience (essential)
✔ CA or CPA qualified
✔ Strong taxation and financial reporting capability
✔ Demonstrated Div 7A experience (essential), including loans, UPEs and MYRs
✔ Exposure to private groups and SME structures
✔ Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience
✔ Strong communication and client relationship skills
✔ Commercial confidence and a solutions-focused mindset
Experience supporting medical and allied health clients will be highly regarded.
