About the Role

As the Business Services Manager, you will take ownership of a diverse client portfolio while leading and mentoring a team across business services and taxation.

You’ll be responsible for overseeing workflow, reviewing complex work and providing commercial advice that moves beyond compliance into genuine business partnership.

This is a leadership role where you will have the autonomy to make an impact while working closely with Directors in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of business services clients across a variety of industries
• Review and sign off financial statements, tax returns and compliance work
• Deliver commercial insights including forecasting, cash flow, budgeting and business performance advice
• Build strong, trusted relationships with business owners and stakeholders
• Lead, mentor and develop intermediate and senior accounting staff
• Oversee workflow management, quality control and deadlines
• Contribute to practice improvement initiatives and strategic projects

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

✔ 6+ years’ experience in Public Practice (Business Services)
✔ Completed CA or CPA qualification
✔ Proven experience leading and mentoring accounting teams
✔ Strong technical accounting and taxation expertise
✔ A commercial mindset with the ability to provide meaningful business advice
✔ Excellent communication and relationship-building capability
✔ Experience using cloud-based systems such as Xero, MYOB and/or QuickBooks
