About the Role

As an Intermediate Business Services Accountant, you will work closely with experienced Managers and Partners to deliver accounting, taxation and advisory services across a broad client base.

You’ll gain exposure to a diverse portfolio including SMEs, partnerships, trusts, individuals and not-for-profit organisations, helping businesses navigate both compliance and growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns across a range of entities
• Preparation of BAS, IAS and compliance reporting
• Supporting taxation, business services and advisory engagements
• Building strong relationships with clients and responding to queries
• Assisting with tax planning and commercial matters
• Working collaboratively with senior team members on client portfolios
• Utilising cloud-based accounting technologies and systems

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

•  3+ years’ experience within Business Services & Tax (Public Practice)
• Currently studying or planning to undertake CA or CPA
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
• Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns
• Exposure to Xero, MYOB and/or QuickBooks
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
